Moving item to front or back

First of all, very cool program!!
Question though, how can you move an item to the front or back, so that the overlap is correct?
For example, I now have a carpet overlaying the chairs and table.

Hi Streefland
Thanks for the compliment!
We have that option on our to-do list; but it isn’t possible yet. Currently the best way to get an item on top is to duplicate it; some items are on a different layer than others though which makes that for example a pond can never get on top of a tree; so most of them are allready sorted. A carpet actually shouldn’t be able to come on top of a chair though; we’ll check out why…

Ah, I found out the problem with the carpet; it has to do with the new undo functionality we implemented recently. I passed the problem to our programmers.
thanks for reporting btw

Also reloading floorplanner gets the furniture layers right. 2008-11-05 06:50

Hi Streefland, we fixed the layer issue when using undo/redo. From now on, your carpets should stay under your table and chairs ;-)

I want to add some lighting symbols to my floor plan for the electrician, but they are sitting under the furniture. Any way to fix that? Thanks

I’m looking for a solution to this also. Same situation: electrical symbols are below other objects. Mac OSX 10.4.11, Firefox 3.6.13

VERY cool program otherwise!
